Grab & Go to Give: Standing Together in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

This October marks a special milestone for Standlee. For the very first time, our iconic green Grab & Go® bales are turning pink. It’s more than just a new look. It’s a symbol of unity, strength, and compassion for the millions of individuals and families touched by breast cancer.

Although the packaging is new, the heart behind it is not. For five consecutive years, Standlee has joined in the fight against breast cancer - raising awareness, sharing stories of courage, and supporting organizations that bring hope and healing to communities everywhere.

With Grab & Go to Give, we’re taking that commitment even further. Every pink bale purchased helps fuel meaningful change, with a portion of proceeds going directly to breast cancer research and support programs. In 2025, our community is rallying toward a shared goal: $65,000 in donations. Together, we can make that goal a reality, and every bale brings us one step closer.

This year, we’re honored to partner with organizations whose missions make a real difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer. Below, we’re excited to share more about the foundations that your support will directly impact.

Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Driving Breakthroughs

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is the world’s largest private funder of breast cancer research and the highest-rated breast cancer research organization in the United States.. Their mission is to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the most promising studies worldwide.

In 2025-2026, BCRF will award $74.75 million in annual grants to more than 260 scientists from top universities and medical institutions around the globe. In addition, BCRF has established the Evelyn H. Lauder Founder’s Fund, a multi-year international program to unravel the biology of metastasis. It is the largest privately funded project exclusively focused on metastasis in the world.

By choosing a pink bale, you are helping push science closer to prevention, better treatment, and ultimately, a cure.

Living Beyond Breast Cancer

Standing Beside Every Thriver

Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) provides trusted information, compassionate support, and a strong community for individuals impacted by breast cancer. Their mission is to ensure that every person diagnosed has the resources and connections they need to navigate the challenges ahead.

This work was highlighted in our Beyond the Barn Podcast, Episode 44: How Horses Can Heal the Trauma that comes with Breast Cancer. In this conversation, Monica Steigerwald, Vice President of Development at LBBC, shared how the foundation stands besides patients and thrivers and ensuring no one fights alone.

Riding Beyond

Healing Through Horses

Riding Beyond offers free equine-assisted experiences designed to help women recovering from breast cancer treatment restore strength, resilience, and hope. Their mission is rooted in healing power of horses – creating a safe, supportive space for renewal of body, mind, and spirit.

This mission is led by Trish Broersma, the founder of Riding Beyond, whose dedication has touched countless lives. Through her vision, women facing the aftermath of breast cancer have found comfort, connection, and renewed sense of self.

Standlee has had the privilege of sharing Tish’s work on the Beyond the Barn Podcast, Episode 44: How Horses Can Heal the Trauma that Comes with Breast Cancer. In this conversation, Trish opens up about the profound ways horses can help navigate trauma and rebuild hope.

Rural Gone Urban Foundation

Expanding Access, Inspiring Hope

The Rural Gone Urban Foundation Love Bombs Program provides judgment-free grants and financial support to women battling breast cancer, empowering them to make memories with their families and invest in legacies that honor their lives beyond a diagnosis. Their mission is rooted in creating stronger connections, and in making sure no one feels left behind when facing health challenges like breast cancer.

This commitment is deeply personal for Brooke Clay Taylor, the founder of the Rural Gone Urban Foundation, as she experienced having a baby and battling triple-negative breast cancer at the same time, with cancer rearing its ugly head more than once in her journey. Brooke’s story is one of grit, faith, and resilience – one that has inspired countless others.

Standlee has had the honor of sharing Brooke’s journey in our Barn Bulletin feature: How Horses Heal Breast Cancer Trauma. Brooke also joined us on the Beyond the Barn Podcast, Episode 68: Defying All Odds Against Breast Cancer, where she courageously opened up about her experience, her healing, and her mission to empower others.
